About me

My name is Mohamed Ahmed Mousa Al Hammadi. I am 19 years old. I live in Bani Yas which is about 35 km from Abu Dhabi. I finished High school last year and my final grade was 74.3%, after that I was accepted in the HCT. The causes of global warming

Global warming is caused by greenhouse gases which trap the infrared radiation emitted from the earth. Despite the fact that these gases make up a small percentage of our atmosphere, they remarkably affect the amount of infrared light energy leaving the earth. Therefore they disrupt the heat balance and cause global warming. Carbon dioxide has the highest percentage of infrared absorption with 64% of the greenhouse gases. The main sources of carbon dioxide are coal-burning power plants, factories and automobiles. Coal-burning power plants are the largest source of carbon dioxide in the US. The other 36% of greenhouse gases that cause global warming are methane gas, nitrogen oxides, ozone, and chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs)

Hi Mohammed,

There is also natural causes for global warming like the release of methane gas, which is one of the greenhouse gases, from arctic tundra and wetlands. That's mean global warming causes are not limited only in human activities.

Take care.
